The Olympics is a mega-event which consists of 35 different sports, 53 disciplines and more than 400 events with the participation of around 200 countries. In the presence of a various strains of the COVID-19 virus and influx of around 10,000 athletes from across the world, should the Tokyo Olympics take place?

A few months ago, I reviewed the 4U version of the Nanoflare 800 in response to chatting to badminton players about what they would like to see more of in the badminton world. So here I am again, presenting you a review on the Yonex Astrox 99 (3UG5) with my co-founder Jeff. 

Last month, Jeff & I had the opportunity to test the new Yonex Nanoflare 800 before it launched. In this article, I share my thoughts on the racquet.

We were given the opportunity to test this racquet out in late February/early March for 2020 in collaboration with Badminton Click in Melbourne, Australia. It officially dropped on March 20th, 2020.

Today, we'd like to share with you our thoughts on the Yonex Nanoflare 700. 

We were given the opportunity to test this racquet out in early December 2019 in collaboration with Badminton Click in Melbourne, Australia. It officially dropped on March 1st last year (2019). 

How long as it been since you were on the badminton court? The COVID-19 lockdowns have got us anxiously waiting for when we are able to get out there and play again!

At the time of recording, we thought that the 2020 Olympics were going to happen this year but we thought wrong. One thing we're not wrong about yet are our predictions for who will win the Olympics when that time inevitably arrives.

One of the few essentials required to play badminton is of course, the badminton racquet (racket). Modern day badminton players can benefit from the various types of metal compositions used to produce today’s racquets (typically carbon fiber/carbon composites) but historically, badminton racquets were made from wood!
