What does badminton fashion look like to you? The loud, bright colours. The big shapes and scattered artwork. And the big words. It’s all so “in-your-face”.

It might look okay when you’re on the court at the All-England Championships, but how about when you’re just playing socially with your friends? Do you wear the bright colours proudly on the court? And how about when you’re travelling to and from the courts on the street, tram, train or bus?

Do you eat brunch, go grocery shopping or meet friends in them? Or workout at the gym, run around the lake or go for hikes in them without looking like a construction worker?

Ever feel like you're this guy when you've finished playing?

We asked ourselves all of these questions. And all of the answers were: “no”.

We put a jacket over our loud, bright clothes when we were off the court. We get changed if we were meeting friends after playing badminton. And we wear more stylish and sexy clothing when we’re outdoors or going to the gym to workout because no one wants to take a selfie of themselves in the mirror when wearing those colours!

We’re so proud to love the sport of badminton yet we find a need to hide the current way that badminton players look on and off the court. We wore other things so that we would feel more confident, stylish and trendy.

That’s when we decided that Volant would be different. We’d bring fashion to badminton where players would not only feel ultimate comfort when they’re on and off the court, but there wouldn’t be any more synthetic, plastic-looking, scratchy, inflexible materials that smell even after you’ve washed them. No.

Volant brings simplicity, attention to detail and timeless style to high quality badminton apparel. A more seamless, casual look while having exceptional playability. No tags that scratch your neck and no more need to cut them - only to realise that they're even more annoying afterwards. No clutter that makes the clothes look tacky. No eye-squinting colours that make you wonder why reflective clothing is needed on the court. And absolutely no limits to where you can proudly wear your gear.

We’re to badminton what Lacoste is to tennis. 2XU is to athletics. Gymshark is to gym. And Lululemon is to yoga.

And the best part about it all is that Volant isn’t just about clothing and fashion. It’s about building our badminton community that we’re so proud to belong to where everyone comes together to make each other better, form lasting connections and wholeheartedly enjoy themselves.

To the outside world, our sport will have an image of power. Our players will wear supreme comfort with confidence and style wherever they are. And others will line up so that they can also be part of something that’s as incredible as our sport of badminton.
